Start with the job your website needs to do.

A service business needs to explain its offer and make an enquiry straightforward. A product business needs clear product information and an understandable route to ordering. A campaign page needs a focused message and one useful next step.

We start by understanding your customers, what they need to know and what you want them to do. That becomes the basis for the page structure, content and design, rather than choosing a layout before the brief is clear.

What goes into the project?

Strategy and structure

We agree the audience, offer, required pages and journeys. This helps identify the content you already have and what needs to be written, photographed or clarified.

Design and development

Your visual direction is developed around your business, with responsive layouts and attention to usability. The platform and functionality are selected around your content, budget and plans for maintaining the site.

Content, launch and handover

Content structure and messaging guidance can form part of the scope. Before launch, we check the experience across key devices and refine the details. A practical handover is included, with any ongoing care agreed around your needs.

A real example: Silly Sausage.

For this personalised pet-gift business, the website brings together products, genuine customer makes and an explanation of the ordering process. The journey helps visitors understand how to send their pet photo and approve a proof.

A clear quote before work begins.

Website pricing depends on the pages, content and functionality required. After an initial conversation, your proposal sets out the work, full cost, payment schedule and timing. The schedule also accounts for content preparation and feedback.

Choose staged payments of 50% to begin, 25% at design approval and 25% before launch, or three equal monthly payments across the agreed project price. The exact dates are recorded in your proposal. Sellick Web Co. is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

What should you bring to the first conversation?

A short explanation of your business, your current website if you have one, and what you would like to improve. Existing branding, content, example sites and any timing or budget constraints help us define a useful starting point.
