1. Promoter
The promoter is Harry Sellick trading as Sellick Web Co., 37 Butts Green Road, Hornchurch, London, RM11 2JS. Email info@sellickwebco.co.uk.
2. Opening and closing dates
Applications open on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 19:00 BST and close on Sunday 18 October 2026 at 23:59 BST. Entries received outside that period will not be judged. Sellick Web Co. is not responsible for an entry that is delayed, incomplete or not received because of circumstances outside its reasonable control.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to actively trading UK small businesses and sole traders. The applicant must be aged 18 or over, have authority to act for the business, and submit no more than one application for that business.
Sellick Web Co., the independent judge, campaign suppliers, and members of their immediate families or households cannot enter. Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, incomplete or ineligible entries may be removed.
4. How to enter
Entry is free and no purchase is required. Before the closing time, the applicant must follow @sellickwebco on Instagram, complete the online application at sellickwebco.co.uk/website-award, provide the Instagram username used to follow the account, answer the required questions and accept these terms.
Sellick Web Co. may check the follow before confirming the selected applicant. Likes, comments, tags, shares and marketing consent are not conditions of entry. Instagram does not sponsor, endorse or administer this promotion and is not associated with it.
5. The award
One selected business will receive:
- one planning session;
- planning, design and development of an informational website with up to five core pages;
- responsive desktop and mobile layouts;
- one standard enquiry form;
- foundational page titles, descriptions and search-indexing setup;
- one consolidated revision round;
- launch on the recipient’s domain where technically suitable; and
- handover and 14 days of support for genuine faults in the delivered work.
The award has no cash alternative and cannot be transferred or sold. If an included item becomes unavailable for reasons outside Sellick Web Co.’s reasonable control, it may be replaced with a reasonably equivalent item.
6. What is not included
The award does not include ecommerce, payment processing, booking systems, memberships, custom portals or software, branding or logo work, professional copywriting, photography, legal or policy drafting, ongoing maintenance, ongoing SEO or paid advertising.
The recipient is responsible for the domain, hosting, business email, paid fonts, stock media, premium licences and other third-party charges. Any optional work outside the award scope will be quoted separately and is never required to enter or receive the award.
7. Recipient responsibilities
The selected business must nominate one person to approve the work, supply accurate final copy and appropriately licensed images, give combined feedback at agreed review points and take part within the agreed build period. The required website must fit the published scope.
If the selected project cannot reasonably fit the scope, the entry was materially inaccurate, or the business does not respond after reasonable attempts, Sellick Web Co. may select the next highest-scoring eligible applicant.
8. Judging
Valid applications will be scored as follows: business need 30%, likely benefit 25%, fit with the fixed scope 20%, content and feedback readiness 15%, and the clarity and completeness of the application 10%.
An independent judge will review the assessment. Their full name will be inserted or made available on request before judging begins. A tie will be decided by the higher business-need score, then the higher likely-benefit score, followed by the independent judge’s documented decision if still tied.
9. Contacting the selected applicant
Sellick Web Co. intends to contact the selected applicant by Friday 23 October 2026 using the email supplied in the application. The applicant must respond within seven calendar days. Sellick Web Co. will make reasonable attempts to obtain a response. Eligibility, authority and the required Instagram follow may be checked before the award is confirmed.
10. Result and project publicity
Sellick Web Co. will publish or make available the selected applicant’s surname and county as evidence of a valid award. The recipient may object to or ask to limit that publication; Sellick Web Co. may still provide the information privately to the Advertising Standards Authority where required.
The finished public website may be shown in Sellick Web Co.’s portfolio. Photographs, interviews, testimonials and a detailed case study will only be used with separate agreement.
11. Personal information and marketing
Application information will be used to administer, assess and document the award, contact the selected applicant, handle questions or complaints and demonstrate that the award was run fairly. Details are set out in the privacy notice.
Permission to discuss a paid project and permission to receive marketing are separate, optional choices. Declining either will not affect an application. Marketing consent may be withdrawn at any time.
12. Fair administration
Sellick Web Co. may verify entries and keep the records needed to demonstrate fair administration. The award will not be cancelled or changed after opening unless circumstances outside reasonable control make that unavoidable. Any necessary change will preserve fairness and be communicated clearly.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply. Questions or complaints should be sent to info@sellickwebco.co.uk.
